About the position

Grane Rx Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Fill Technician to work in a fast-paced, long-term care environment. This role involves performing pharmacy-related tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accurate and timely medication order fulfillment for residents. The position emphasizes quality, patient safety, and requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication order fulfillment including packaging, labeling, and shipping.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepare medications for dispensing.
• Coordinate and stage items for accurate and timely delivery to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration and safety.
• Ensure proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Mix pharmaceutical preparations under supervision according to written prescriptions.
• Assist with special projects as needed and support departmental goals.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
• Maintain professional competencies and comply with company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic drug terminology.
• Computer knowledge and skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
