The Pharmacy Financial Analyst position at AltaMed is a critical role that involves analyzing financial and health information to support business decision-making related to healthcare revenue, costs, and outcomes. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring claims costs, identifying revenue opportunities such as claims overpayment, leakage claims, and billable services. Additionally, the role includes monitoring primary care provider (PCP) and specialty capitation, preparing risk pool and incentive summaries, and assisting in risk pool and capitation auditing. The analyst will also summarize financial results from various system reports, providing valuable insights that will help guide the organization's financial strategies and operational decisions. In this hybrid role, the analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure that financial data is accurately reported and analyzed. The position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data to support the organization's mission of delivering quality healthcare to the community. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, ensuring that AltaMed remains at the forefront of healthcare delivery in the communities it serves.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and health information to support business decision-making on healthcare revenue, cost, and outcomes.
  • Monitor claims costs and identify revenue opportunities such as claims overpayment, leakage claims, and billable services.
  • Monitor PCP and specialty capitation.
  • Prepare risk pool and incentive summaries.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in risk pool and capitation auditing.
  • Summarize financial results from various system reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or other related areas.
  • At least 1-2 years of financial analysis and database reporting experience.
  • Experience with database and data analysis technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SQL, EZ Cap, Cognos, or Crystal Reports.
