About the position

The position involves ensuring compliance with company and legal policies in the pharmacy area, providing pharmaceutical care to customers, and maintaining safety and operational standards. The role includes processing prescription orders, counseling customers, and managing pharmacy operations while adhering to regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas.
• Analyze and interpret reports related to loss prevention and safety controls.
• Oversee safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop and implement action plans for compliance and safety.
• Provide pharmaceutical care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist.
• Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and controlled medication procedures as permitted by law.
• Ensure accuracy in the chemical composition and properties of substances and evaluate potential interactions and side effects of medications.
• Communicate and interpret written prescriptions to/from physicians accurately.
• Provide customer service by assisting with purchasing decisions and resolving customer issues.
• Operate equipment such as cash registers to process customer purchases.
• Receive and stock merchandise from distribution centers and suppliers, maintaining the pharmacy area according to company procedures.
• Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating products and removing damaged goods.

Requirements

• Enrolled in final year at an accredited Pharmacy school.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
