About the position

The position involves engaging in post-graduate pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, providing consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The role focuses on enhancing customer experience through healthcare services, optimizing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy manager in various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Develop strong relationships with valuable customers by anticipating their needs.
  • Support efforts to enhance customer experience by focusing on healthcare services.
  • Participate in community events as requested by management.
  • Counsel patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies.
  • Assist pharmacy manager in establishing efficient workflow procedures.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the pharmacy and shift change duties.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and propose enhancements to promote productivity.
  • Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies.
  • Conduct virtual product reviews in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training.
  • Promote teamwork and motivate team members by establishing expectations and monitoring progress.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare.
  • Communicate relevant corporate health and wellness services to pharmacy staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited University outside the United States.
  • Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
  • Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 45 days of completion of intern hours.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy business.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
