About the position

As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and safety within a retail pharmacy environment. This position is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students who are eager to apply their education in a practical setting while working under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. The internship focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance, all while fostering a culture of empathy and collaboration among the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practices.
• Assist in managing regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
• Support inventory management and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
• Lead patient care programs to promote health and wellness.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient outcomes and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframe.
