About the position

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in the pharmacy team, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position focuses on ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering exceptional care to patients. You will be immersed in a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to the company's mission of increasing access, lowering costs, and improving the quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and adhere to pharmacy professional practice standards.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and quality assurance protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage inventory effectively.
• Oversee workflow management excluding final prescription verification.
• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members to promote better health outcomes.
• Facilitate a team culture that embodies caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift, scan, and bag items, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
