About the position

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in the pharmacy team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while engaging in patient care programs aimed at improving health outcomes. This position emphasizes continuous learning and professional growth within a culture dedicated to enhancing healthcare access and quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and adherence to pharmacy professional practice standards.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and quality assurance protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and caregivers.
• Manage inventory and workflow effectively, excluding final prescription verification.
• Lead with empathy and compassion in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members to promote a culture of caring and enthusiasm.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframe.
