About the position
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team while gaining hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy environment. This position is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students who are committed to improving patient care and safety under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. You will be immersed in a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on enhancing healthcare access, lowering costs, and improving quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practice standards.
- Assist in managing regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Support inventory management and workflow management in the pharmacy.
- Lead patient care programs to promote health and wellness among customers.
Requirements
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years relevant work experience.
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
