About the position

As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students who are committed to enhancing patient care and safety while gaining practical experience in a retail pharmacy environment. You will be involved in various aspects of pharmacy operations, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service, all aimed at improving health outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practices.
• Assist in managing regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
• Support inventory management and workflow management in the pharmacy.
• Participate in patient care programs to promote health and wellness.
• Display empathy and compassion towards patients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve better health outcomes.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift, scan, and bag items.
