About the position
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in the pharmacy team, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students who are eager to contribute to patient care and safety while gaining practical experience in a retail pharmacy environment. The role emphasizes continuous improvement in healthcare delivery and patient management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practices.
- Assist in regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Manage inventory and workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Lead patient care programs to promote health and wellness.
- Display empathy and compassion in interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframe.
