About the position
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in the pharmacy team, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students who are eager to learn and contribute to improving healthcare. You will be immersed in a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service while managing pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practices.
- Assist in regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Manage inventory and workflow within the pharmacy environment.
- Participate in patient care programs to promote health and wellness.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
Nice-to-haves
- Immunization eligibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
