About the position
The Pharmacy Intern position at CVS Health is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students who are looking to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy environment. Interns will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, contributing to patient care and safety while learning about pharmacy operations and professional practice. Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practices
- Assist in regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and caregivers
- Manage inventory and workflow in the pharmacy
- Participate in patient care programs to promote health and wellness
- Display empathy and compassion in all interactions with patients and colleagues
- Collaborate with team members to improve patient outcomes
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure
Requirements
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframe
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to lift, scan, and bag items, and remain mobile for extended periods
- Visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing and inspecting small parts
