About the position

The Pharmacy Lead Technician, FSS role at CVS Health is designed to support pharmacists while mentoring and guiding the pharmacy technician team. Responsibilities

  • Support the pharmacy leadership team with administrative tasks and compliance training tracking.
  • Manage scheduling of pharmacy support staff and ensure proper coverage for time off requests.
  • Oversee pharmacy inventory management and coach the team on best practices.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new pharmacy hires, ensuring completion of training modules.
  • Set an example of outstanding performance in customer service and patient care for the team.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members to improve work environment and dynamics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and CVS policies regarding patient safety and privacy.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 1+ years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • High school diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) required
  • PTCB National Certification
  • State-level licensure requirements vary by state
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Availability to work some nights and weekends to support business needs
  • Strong attention to detail and focus
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Mathematical reasoning skills for prescription calculations
  • Problem resolution skills to address complex situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
  • Previous experience as a front store supervisor
