The Lead Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients while supporting the pharmacy team and pharmacists. Responsibilities

  • Engage customers to learn about their health and medications, promoting CVS services as a partner in their health journey.
  • Prioritize customer needs and ensure complete satisfaction through genuine care and empathy in all interactions.
  • Comply with applicable Federal and State laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Follow workflow procedures effectively, managing responsibilities while assisting the team as needed.
  • Balance quality and efficiency in all tasks, maintaining accuracy and meeting workflow and inventory management goals.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential problems to ensure timely access to medications for customers.
  • Seek opportunities to expand clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Contribute to team goals and adapt to changes in the work environment to foster a supportive atmosphere.
  • Assist the Pharmacist with daily activities, including reports and scheduling.
  • Coordinate and implement training for support staff, providing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating outstanding performance and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Licensure requirements vary by state.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to respond to customer needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Mathematical reasoning skills for solving problems related to prescriptions.
  • Problem resolution skills to identify and address issues effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Work 30 hours or greater per week.
  • More than 1 year of experience as a CVS Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience in an Inventory Specialist role.
