About the position

As Pharmacy Manager at CVS Health, you play a significant role in delivering our purpose and demonstrating genuine care for our patients. You will lead and direct your Pharmacy Staff, which includes both staff Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, and be accountable for the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. This includes ensuring patient safety, adhering to pharmacy professional practice and regulatory requirements, maintaining quality assurance, providing excellent customer service, managing personnel, overseeing inventory, ensuring financial profitability, preventing loss, and managing workflow. A key component of your role is to keep customers and patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs. You will also be responsible for motivating and developing your Pharmacy Support Staff, identifying business opportunities, implementing solutions, adapting to changes, and fostering a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Pharmacy Staff including staff Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
• Accountable for the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to pharmacy professional practice and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain quality assurance and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage personnel, inventory, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow.
• Implement patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
• Motivate and develop Pharmacy Support Staff.
• Identify business opportunities and implement meaningful solutions.

Requirements

• Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
• Listed on the pharmacy state license as the 'pharmacist in charge'.
• Submission of required information/documents to state PMP administrator for PMP access.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
