Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
  • Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance and customer service within the pharmacy.
  • Manage personnel, inventory, and financial profitability of the pharmacy.
  • Implement patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
  • Motivate and develop pharmacy support staff by balancing assignments and addressing development opportunities.
  • Identify business opportunities and implement solutions to drive growth and improve performance.
  • Adapt to changes in the community healthcare setting and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Foster a team culture that promotes enthusiasm and pride in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
  • Listed on the pharmacy state license as the 'pharmacist in charge'.
  • Submission of required information/documents to state PMP administrator for PMP access.

  • Experience in a managerial role within a pharmacy setting.
