The mission of Jordan Valley is to improve the health of our community by providing high-quality and accessible medical, dental, and behavioral health services to Southwest MO. As our Pharmacy Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the pharmacy operations within our health center. Your responsibilities will include planning, directing, revising, and modifying pharmacy procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards. You will assign, assist with, and supervise the work of a staff of professional and technical personnel in compounding, mixing, and dispensing a wide variety of drugs used for or sold to patients of the hospital. In this position, you will be responsible for requisitioning all supplies required for the pharmacy and reviewing, analyzing, and becoming familiar with new pharmaceutical preparations recommended for patient use. You will establish and maintain an approved system of record keeping and bookkeeping, as well as prepare the annual budget for the pharmacy. Supervising the taking of inventories and acting as the agent with total responsibility for all controlled medications in the pharmacy will also be part of your duties. Promoting effective working relations and working effectively as part of a team will be essential to facilitate the Clinic's ability to meet its goals and objectives. You will be expected to attain all agreed-upon goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic's overall mission. Additionally, you will responsibly follow the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens, demonstrating respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with pharmacy, nursing, administration, and medical staff to ensure the optimization of the medication use process. You will actively participate in the accomplishment and ensure the implementation of the pharmacy service's scope of practice, and you will be responsible for all counseling of patients with their prescriptions. Finally, you will guide, oversee, assess, and review the work of assigned clinical staff pharmacists and other personnel for productivity, efficiency, and quality, while also performing all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, or Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy
  • One year as a licensed pharmacist with enhanced clinical responsibilities preferred
  • Current Missouri State license to practice professional pharmacy
