About the position

The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy department at MultiCare. This position is responsible for coordinating daily operational activities, which includes managing staffing levels and ensuring that all pharmacy functions are carried out efficiently. The coordinator will work closely under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager or Supervisor, engaging in a variety of routine and non-routine tasks that require strong analytical skills, organization, independent thinking, and sound judgment. The role demands the ability to make decisions within the scope of the position's responsibilities, while recognizing that certain decisions will require the review and approval of the Pharmacy Manager or Supervisor. In this position, the Pharmacy Operations Coordinator will be expected to maintain a high level of communication with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient care is prioritized. The coordinator will also be involved in the implementation of policies and procedures that enhance the operational efficiency of the pharmacy. This includes monitoring workflow, addressing any operational issues that arise, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role is vital in supporting the pharmacy team and contributing to the overall mission of MultiCare, which is to partner for healing and a healthy future for the communities served. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BA degree in a related field preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience required.
