About the position

The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in the operational pharmacy practice within the health system, ensuring that all areas of patient care are effectively serviced. This position is part of a dynamic team of over 45 professionals, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, who work around the clock to meet the needs of the hospital. The coordinator will collaborate closely with pharmacy leaders to prepare, plan, and coordinate daily pharmacy operational workflows, ensuring that all activities align with regulatory compliance standards set by ACHC, USP, and the Board of Pharmacy. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Pharmacy Operations Coordinator will be responsible for updating and renewing pharmacy operational policies. This includes the development of clinical educational offerings for staff, which is essential for maintaining high standards of care and ensuring that all team members are well-informed about the latest practices and regulations. The coordinator will also be expected to maintain an advanced knowledge of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, which is vital for providing staffing and clinical pharmacy assistance as needed. This full-time position offers a base annualized salary of $119,766, with individual compensation determined by years of directly relevant experience. The total rewards package includes a comprehensive benefits program for qualifying positions. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional requirements for evening or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational pharmacy practice within the health system.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy degree from a fifth-year college or university program equivalent required.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) resident strongly preferred.
  • Indiana Pharmacist license required.
