About the position

The Pharmacy Operations Manager at Walgreens is responsible for overseeing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This role involves supervising pharmacy technicians, managing customer interactions, and assisting pharmacists in delivering patient care. The manager is accountable for training, performance management, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities.
• Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers under the guidance of a pharmacist.
• Engage customers and resolve complaints to enhance customer experience.
• Assist pharmacists in patient care delivery, including registration and prescription processing.
• Manage pharmacy workflow and coordinate daily activities.
• Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with business administrative activities and inventory management tasks.
• Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and adhere to company policies.
• Assist in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials and operational quality.
• Manage Community Outreach Portal and coordinate off-site immunization clinics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous people management/leadership experience.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
