About the position

The Pharmacy Operations Manager at Walgreens is responsible for overseeing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This role involves supervising pharmacy technicians, managing customer interactions, and assisting with patient care under the supervision of a pharmacist. The manager is accountable for training, performance management, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities.
• Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within company policies and regulations.
• Engage customers and resolve complaints to enhance customer experience.
• Assist pharmacists in patient care delivery, including registration and prescription processing.
• Manage pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in operations.
• Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with business administrative activities and inventory management tasks.
• Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and adhere to company policies.
• Assist in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials and operational quality.
• Manage Community Outreach Portal and coordinate off-site immunization clinics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous people management/leadership experience.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
