About the position

The Pharmacy/Pharmacist Leader is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy practice in compliance with state and federal laws and corporate policies. This role focuses on managing the financial performance of the pharmacy department, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading pharmacy staff training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice within legal and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department.
  • Monitor the pharmacy budget and minimize unauthorized overtime.
  • Perform necessary pharmacy staff training and development.
  • Provide excellence in customer service and manage prescription pricing.
  • Control pharmacy inventory and implement corporate-approved clinical services.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy.
  • 2+ years related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • License must be in good standing.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
  • Willingness to continue education as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant Pharmacy Board Certification(s).
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience in business management.
