About the position

The Pharmacy Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Allied Health programs. This role involves providing leadership and strategic direction for the clinical program, developing and implementing plans for program growth, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. The director will also lead the admissions process, establish performance metrics, and support student success through mentorship and resource development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Allied Health programs.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the clinical program within the Allied Health School.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and improvement.
  • Research and identify industry trends to establish program direction and create operational policies and resources.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement assessment, accreditation, and academic program review activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national accreditation requirements.
  • Prepare for and lead accreditation reviews and site visits.
  • Serve as the direct contact for accrediting bodies and community stakeholders.
  • Lead the admissions process, including setting criteria and evaluating applications.
  • Identify and target key student populations for recruitment and retention aligned with DEI initiatives.
  • Develop key performance indicators to drive program growth, including recruitment and marketing efforts.
  • Manage the program's budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Prepare financial reports and track expenditures for program sustainability.
  • Oversee student and academic progress, advising, and support services.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate educators within the program.
  • Address student relations and educational issues outside of direct teaching.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree of PharmD required.
  • Registered as a Pharmacist with the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • 5 years of clinical and/or technical experience in a hospital setting required.
  • 3 years of teaching, precepting, and/or mentoring experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified by American Medical Technologist as an Allied Health Instructor (AHI) preferred, not required.

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $75.76 - $121.22
  • Exempt from overtime
  • Day shift working hours
