About the position

As a Pharmacy Service Associate at Rite Aid, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Pharmacy department by assisting the Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacist, and Pharmacy Manager. Your primary focus will be on providing excellent customer service and maintaining an organized pharmacy environment, contributing to the overall health and wellness of the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacist, and Pharmacy Manager in serving customers.
• Provide excellent customer service within the Pharmacy department.
• Enter sales into the cash register and process payments.
• Manage the pharmacy will-call area, including placing and retrieving prescriptions for customers.
• Pull aged will-calls listed on the daily report.
• Take prescription information from customers.
• Answer the telephone in the Pharmacy department.
• Assist customers in the over-the-counter medication area of the retail store.
• Perform routine inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records.
• Follow mandatory procedures and methods of work to safeguard the environment and wellbeing of yourself and others.
• Organize your work schedule to complete tasks efficiently, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary.
• Cross-train to assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Active Pharmacy Assistant License in good standing for the state in which one works required.
