About the position
The Pharmacy Shipping Coordinator is responsible for packaging and shipping medications, ensuring timely delivery of prescription orders, and maintaining accurate inventory. This role involves communication with various parties to facilitate the shipping process and requires attention to detail in verifying documents and maintaining a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Package and ship medications according to excursion data.
- Communicate and coordinate with all parties to ensure timely shipping and delivery of prescription orders.
- Provide a delivery report to management and complete designated delivery paperwork by the end of business daily.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and inventory areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Maintain the shipping station and assist with maintaining accurate inventory by removing expirations.
- Create pre-packaged supply items when needed.
- Order supplies necessary for the shipping department.
- Pack medication appropriately and affix a shipping label after the order has been verified by a pharmacist.
- Verify all documents and demographics are accurate and correspond to one another.
Requirements
- 1 year of pharmacy experience
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- 1 year of packaging and shipping experience
