About the position

The Pharmacy/Sr Certified Tech at Kroger is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. This role involves training others, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering quality care and products to customers. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
  • Train pharmacy associates and support new technicians through the training program.
  • Administer vaccinations and point of care testing as allowed by state law.
  • Assist the pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Lead by example to execute department standards and support workflow.
  • Act as a pharmacy safety subject matter expert and coach others as needed.
  • Participate in store-wide meetings and represent the pharmacy team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of company-approved Technician Product Verification program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Completion of company-approved Point of Care training program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Completion of company-approved practical immunization training program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Active enrollment in American Heart Association Basic Life Support course.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proven attention to detail and stellar customer service skills.
  • Completion of national and/or state registration, certification, or licensure depending upon state requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Support company Health and Wellness initiatives.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding HIPAA.
  • Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements.
