About the position

The Pharmacy Tech 1 position at Stormont-Vail HealthCare involves assisting a registered pharmacist in preparing medications for dispensing and supporting clinical pharmacy operations. This part-time role requires providing services to patients across all age groups and ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing medications for dispensing under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Provide services to patients from birth to death.
• Use dispensing and bar coding technology for accurate medication selection and order fulfillment.
• Deliver patient-specific orders and manage automated dispensing cabinets.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile products as per training and experience.
• Manage medication kits or crash cart trays according to department procedures.
• Comply with all policies, standards, and mandatory training of Stormont Vail Health.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of pharmacy technician or other healthcare experience required.
• Registration with Kansas Board of Pharmacy prior to the first day of work is required.
• National Technician Certification through an agency recognized by Kansas Board of Pharmacy is required.
