About the position

As a Pharmacy Tech 2 at Meijer, you will be an integral part of our pharmacy team, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment. Your role will involve inputting customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system, creating prescription labels, and adjudicating insurance claims. You will also retrieve medications from inventory, complete necessary paperwork related to filling prescriptions, and order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department. Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy is essential, as is the confidentiality of patient information. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, prioritize your workload effectively, and maintain a positive attitude while working as part of a team. To succeed in this role, you must be licensed in your respective state if required, and complete Meijer Employer-based training if licensure is not necessary. Responsibilities

  • Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
  • Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.

Requirements

  • High School/GED.
  • Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
  • Retail/Community Practice experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
