About the position

The Analyst - Willow - Inpatient Pharmacy position at South Central Regional Medical Center is a critical role within the EPIC department, focusing on the pharmacy applications integrated into the electronic health record (EHR). This position serves as the primary build and support contact for pharmacy applications, ensuring that they function effectively and meet the needs of end users. The Analyst will act as a subject matter expert on EHR application integration with other clinical applications and information systems, facilitating smooth operations and communication between various stakeholders. In this role, the Analyst will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues that arise within the pharmacy application area, as well as those that may impact other application teams. This includes guiding workflow design, building and testing the system, and addressing technical issues associated with the Epic (Wisconsin) software. The Analyst will also be tasked with implementing requested changes to the system and serving as a liaison between end users and Epic staff, ensuring that the system aligns with the organization’s business needs. Regular communication with Epic representatives and organizational stakeholders is essential to ensure that deliverables and timelines are met. The Analyst will develop a deep understanding of operational needs by attending site visits and integrated sessions, which will help set the direction for the organization’s workflows. Additionally, the Analyst will participate in training sessions with end users, troubleshoot problems, and maintain ongoing communication with leadership regarding project statuses and issues. Weekly team meetings will be held to discuss deliverables, shared issues, and upcoming milestones, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary support contact for the application's end users.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification, required.
  • Two years of hospital-based pharmacy experience, required.
  • Attain assigned EPIC (WISCONSIN) Certification(s) within 90 days of employment.
