About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician Representative at Evernorth Health Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting our 95+ million members by helping them navigate their benefit offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers by answering their questions and providing effective solutions to their problems, making a significant impact on their lives daily. In this role, you will be expected to work a schedule from Monday to Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Your duties will include selecting and retrieving appropriate quantities of medication, preparing labels, and working collaboratively with your team to resolve requests in various departments, including Pull Department, Pull Rx, Letter processing, and Controls exception across Express Scripts. The position requires physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting boxes weighing up to 35 pounds, as well as repetitive tasks associated with prescription processing. You will also be responsible for adhering to strict HIPAA regulations and company policies while communicating with team members and external parties. Additionally, you will engage in data entry, quality assurance, and exception processing, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Participation in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities, as you strive to enhance operational processes within the department. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals with strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare corresponding labels.
  • Work as part of a team in resolving requests in Pull Department, Pull Rx, Letter processing, and Controls exception across ESI.
  • Perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Process letter requests by manual or automated databases, typing customer service notes in the system, and processing member correspondence.
  • Engage in data input/validation, Quality Assurance (QA), and exception processing as directed by management.
  • Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts internal and external to the department.
  • Complete and process data for reporting needs and prepare work for storage both on and offsite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid MO Pharmacy technician license registration required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician or NHA preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivator with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
