In this role, you will assist pharmacists in promoting an organized and functional pharmacy service. Your responsibilities will include preparing medications for dispensing and maintaining records, ensuring that the pharmacy operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be a vital part of the team, alerting the pharmacy director, manager, or pharmacist of immediate problems requiring corrective action in a timely manner. Additionally, you will screen nursing and physician inquiries and phone calls, directing them to the appropriate pharmacist to ensure accurate and timely communication. As part of your role, you will also perform special projects, including the training of new technicians and overseeing their activities. This will help increase and improve the level of service, skill level, and productivity within the pharmacy. To ensure your professional growth, you will be required to attend or participate in a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education biannually, as required by national certification bodies. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Colorado (PHAT) and Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
  • Provisional licenses must obtain State license within 12 months or expiration date of provisional license (whichever comes first).
