About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to assist members with their pharmacy needs, ensuring they receive the right products and services in accordance with company policies. You will be expected to acknowledge members, identify their needs, and assist them with purchasing decisions, which includes locating merchandise and resolving any issues or concerns they may have. Your role will also involve promoting the company's products and services to enhance the member experience. In addition to member service, you will operate hardware such as cash registers and related equipment to process member purchases. This includes assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, ensuring that all transactions are handled according to the appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types. You will also be responsible for processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies, and maintaining accurate documentation related to prescriptions and pharmacy operations. Your duties will extend to receiving and stocking merchandise in the pharmacy area, organizing and maintaining the pharmacy environment, and completing necessary paperwork and logs. You will collaborate with managers, co-workers, and other business partners to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate progress effectively. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards is paramount, and you will be expected to implement related action plans and utilize the Open Door Policy when necessary. Responsibilities

• Provide member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Operate hardware such as cash registers, process member purchases, and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Assist with processing prescription and OTC orders and purchases, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies and merchandise.
• Enter prescription information or file prescriptions, and complete and maintain paperwork, forms, and other required documentation.
• Receive and stock merchandise in the pharmacy area, and organize and maintain the pharmacy area by following company procedures.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, and customers.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans.

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
• Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to assist members effectively.
