About the position

At Sam's Club, the Member Service Associate plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. This position involves acknowledging members upon their arrival, identifying their needs, and assisting them with purchasing decisions. The associate will help locate merchandise, resolve any issues or concerns, and promote the company's products and services effectively. The role requires operating hardware such as cash registers and related equipment, processing member purchases, and assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, ensuring adherence to appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types. In addition to general member service, the associate will provide pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies. This includes assisting with the processing of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining necessary paperwork and documentation. The associate is responsible for receiving and stocking merchandise in the pharmacy area, organizing and maintaining this area by following company procedures, and completing all required documentation. The Member Service Associate will also be expected to complete work assignments and priorities by utilizing company policies, data, and resources. This involves collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations. The associate will carry out tasks, communicate progress, and recommend improvements while adapting to changes and feedback. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is essential, and associates are encouraged to implement related action plans and utilize the Open Door Policy in executing business processes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy products and services is a plus.
