Responsibilities

  • Assist the pharmacist in the dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all pharmacy operations.
  • Prepare and manage inventory of medications and supplies.

  • Provide quality pharmaceutical care and services to patients.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of hospital Pharmacy Technician experience preferred, or completion of an externship at El Camino Hospital.
  • Current State of California technician registration is required.
  • Certificate from a Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
  • Chemotherapy Certification is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Glovebox Isolator hood is preferred if assigned to Los Gatos.
