About the position

The Pharmacy Technician position at Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital involves supporting the pharmacy department in a full-time capacity during night shifts. The role is essential for ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations, managing medication distribution, and providing quality care to patients in a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Utilize Pyxis systems for medication management, including optimization and reporting.
• Perform IV admixture and maintain aseptic techniques.
• Package medications using Unit Dose packaging.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of hospital experience preferred.
• High School Graduate or equivalent required; Technical School or Associate's Degree preferred.
• Professional Certification as a Certified Technician or Intern Pharmacist training/licensure required.
