About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Vibra Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital's drug distribution system under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This position involves a variety of technical and clerical duties, including preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and ensuring the confidentiality of patient records. The role also emphasizes patient safety and public health through participation in the hospital's Antibiotic Stewardship Program.

Responsibilities

• Fill physician orders by preparing and distributing medications, including intravenous admixtures and extemporaneous drug preparations.
• Maintain the drug inventory and ensure the availability of medications.
• Maintain confidential patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program to promote patient safety and public health.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment required.
• Valid driver's license necessary in states with multiple facilities requiring delivery to sites.
• Six months experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
