The Pharmacy Technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of medications and supplies, assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, and providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff. This position is vital for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy operations, contributing to the overall quality of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist and licensed personnel in recordkeeping and inventory management.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Pharmacy department within the scope of responsibility and training.
• Maintain accurate records of medications and supplies.
• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification from the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or completion of a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
• Five years' experience may substitute for certification.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years' hospital experience.
• 2 years' retail experience.
