About the position

The Pharmacy Tech I position is a vital role within the healthcare team, primarily focused on assisting with inpatient order processing. This includes ensuring that all medications are accurately filled and ready for patient use. The Pharmacy Tech I will also be responsible for coordinating the replacement of daily floor stock, which is essential for maintaining the availability of medications on the hospital floors. Additionally, the role involves refilling shock carts, which are critical for emergency situations where immediate access to medications is necessary. The Pharmacy Tech I will check medications for appropriate expiration dating to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations. Furthermore, this position requires the completion of all patient charging as needed, which is crucial for accurate billing and inventory management within the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inpatient order processing by ensuring that all medications are correctly filled.

Requirements

• High School graduate or completion of GED.
• Medical and clerical background preferred.
• One-year experience in a pharmacy preferred.
