About the position

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: The Pharmacy Department utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical, and dispensing services. The department has one of the most robust sets of electronic clinical resources in the country and a dynamic medication safety program. Across the Center, we review 1.5 million orders per year and dispense over three million doses of medication annually. The Pharmacy Department has more than 450 employees, with approximately 300 pharmacists servicing patients in 26 pharmacy satellites, including inpatient unit-based satellites in all oncological specialties. Memorial Sloan Kettering provides free, live, onsite, accredited continuing education pharmacy courses to help keep your credentials up to date. The department will also sponsor national and state membership for pharmacy organizations and appropriate off-site educational meetings. Responsibilities

• Perform inventory management (ordering, receiving, stocking).
• Complete annual competency assessments.
• Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
• Maintain pharmacy files and records.
• Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology.
• Assist with pharmacy inspections.
• Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
• PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
• Omnicell experience is beneficial.
• IV compounding experience preferred.
