The Certified Pharmacy Technician II plays a crucial role in supporting the Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients and customers at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The position also requires the ability to solve simple mathematical and logistical problems, budget time effectively, and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities

  • Support the Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients and customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
  • One year of pharmacy experience required for Registrar I.
  • Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals is required.
  • Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician is required within 9 months of hire.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service orientation and effective communication skills are essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous pharmacy work experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general office equipment and procedures, including computer/keyboard usage.
