The individual in this position will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medications, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacy Tech FT Days will be responsible for filling and labeling medications, stocking medications into pharmacy inventory, restocking automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), maintaining adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications, delivering medications to patient care areas, attending to medication requests and phone calls, assisting in Pharmacy quality assurance activities, complying with state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards, and Tenet and hospital policies and procedures, and assisting pharmacists in performing various duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent training required
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician in training

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience
  • IV experience
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Pharmacy technician certification
