Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Fill and label medications.
  • Stock medications into pharmacy inventory.
  • Restock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs).
  • Maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications.
  • Deliver medications to patient care areas.
  • Attend to medication requests and phone calls.
  • Prepare IV sterile admixture solutions and IV products.
  • Assist in Pharmacy quality assurance activities.
  • Comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards and Tenet and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assist pharmacists in performing various duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • IV experience preferred.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
