About the position

The Pharmacy Tech II position at Elevance Health involves working in a hybrid model to support the Clinical Pharmacy Care Center (CPCC) in delivering member-centered pharmacy care. The role focuses on verifying member information, educating members on medication adherence, assisting with scheduling preventive tests, and collecting data for medication reviews. This position is crucial in closing care gaps and improving health outcomes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial members.

Responsibilities

• Verifies member information and inputs pharmacy data for the pharmacists.
• Educates members on medication adherence-related topics to align closely with STARs Ratings and HEDIS quality measures.
• Assists members with scheduling their preventive tests/screenings and medication resources or assistance programs.
• Makes outreach to members or providers to close care gaps and improve outcomes.
• Collects data for medication reviews for pharmacists.

Requirements

• Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements.
• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent communication skills with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial members.
• Call center experience with high call volumes preferred.
• Experience in discussing medication adherence.
• Proficient in computer systems and multitasking preferred.
• Patient care experience preferred.
