About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician Level 1 at Meijer, you will be an integral part of our pharmacy team, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment. You will be responsible for retrieving medications from inventory, inputting customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system, and creating prescription labels. Additionally, you will adjudicate insurance claims and complete necessary paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders. Your role will also involve ordering prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department and stocking them appropriately to ensure a well-organized pharmacy. In this position, you will promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers, prioritizing your workload effectively to meet the needs of the pharmacy. Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy is essential for a professional appearance, and you will be expected to uphold the confidentiality of patient information at all times. This role not only requires technical skills but also a positive attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork, as you will be working closely with other pharmacy staff to ensure the best possible service for our customers.
