Responsibilities
- Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
- Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
- Demonstrates proficiency in two or more specific pharmacy function areas such as production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding, and home care/outpatient.
- Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician I for a minimum of one year at Northside Hospital, or as a pharmacy student with an Intern License and a minimum of one year of pharmacy experience, or as a technician from outside the Northside System with one year of pharmacy-related experience.
- Non-certified technicians must complete the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam within one year of employment.
