About the position

The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while providing excellent customer service. This part-time role involves filling prescriptions, patient counseling, and maintaining inventory levels, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the operations of the pharmacy.
• Provide patient counseling and assist with prescription transfers.
• Fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Respond to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors.
• Communicate and cooperate with peers and customers in a professional manner.
• Assist with monthly CII audits and maintain record keeping for controlled substances.
• Stock pharmacy product orders and maintain inventory levels.
• Help train other pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Adhere to Department Appearance Standards and dress code standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
• Must complete all required state, federal, and company training programs.
