As a Pharmacy Technician PRN, you will work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s) and assist in all pharmacy operations' functions. This includes the preparation and distribution of all doses of medication, maintenance of drug inventories, and completion of patients' records pertaining to drug therapy. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the pharmacy operates efficiently and that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of all doses of medication.
• Maintain drug inventories, including re-stocking automated dispensing cabinets throughout the hospital.
• Engage in drug packaging/re-packaging and extemporaneous compounding.
• Restock code carts as needed.
• Complete patients' records pertaining to drug therapy, including aminoglycoside protocol orders and drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• One (1) year of clinical experience in a related field, preferred.
• Must be a registered pharmacy technician with the state of Alabama.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the pharmacy field.
