About the position

The Pharmacy Technician PRN position at University Hospital involves performing a variety of essential duties required in pharmacy operations. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as it involves rotating shifts to meet the needs of the hospital's pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations and tasks.
• Prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Provide customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of medications and pharmacy operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of college or commercial school courses in basic sciences, mathematics, business, or related areas preferred.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Two or more years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician preferred.
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration required.
