About the position

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work on a per diem basis in our Pharmacy Department. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the pharmacy operations and assist the pharmacists in providing high-quality care. Your primary duties will include counting, preparing, labeling, and packaging unit dose medications. You will also assist pharmacists in entering patient orders, preparing and delivering intravenous (IV) medications, and ensuring that medications are delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. In addition to medication preparation and delivery, you will perform daily billing for inpatient and outpatient services, complete purchase orders, and manage the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
