About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Saint Alphonsus Health System plays a crucial role in assisting Pharmacists with pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record-keeping functions. This position is essential in delivering pharmaceutical supplies to patients of all ages, ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures while embodying the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in providing effective drug dispensing services to all patients served by the MedNow pharmacy.
• Train Pharmacy Technician Trainees in day-to-day duties as assigned by the Director.
• Demonstrate excellent mathematical skills for the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred.
• Under 2 years' experience preferred.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent mathematical skills required for medication preparation and dispensing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
